That's a good price IMO. And the 727 isn't worth much if your selling... But if your looking, it's worth more than you want to pay... $200ish from what I have seen in the past. The shaft is likely worth more than the trans. The diesel 727 shafts go for a little over $200 on fleabay.

I am thinking of using a NV-4500 out of my totaled '96 V-10 4x4 as a Tranny for my '85 crew 4x4 4 speed stick I want to convert to a CTD. Would this tranny bolt up to a Cummins? would a 1st or 2nd gen engine be a easier swap? I fiqured I will just use my '96 tranny and transfer. Thanks

I haved had a bunch a dodges, mostly old powerwagons. I know that from 4 -wheeling them. I am laughing that I didn't think of that too. I guess I will have to keep the NP-205 transfer case on the '85 crew cab and just get an adapter to use it with the nv-4500 tranny. I was so excited to use all "junkyard parts" that I forgot about the front driveshaft drop switch in '94

Bellhousing adapter plate? A Dodge part I could junkyard or and adapter plate from somebody like Advanced Adapters or the like? The starter is a custom starter or a diesel starter? Thanks
