NP 205 Rebuild Kit

The old 205 is growling a bit and thought I'd refresh it this winter. Any kits you recommend? Prefer USA made bearings, the only kit I saw that said it had USA bearings was the one from Quad 4X4 it was just under 5 bills. Any alternatives? Thanks.

Zbag has 205 kits.

Quad4x4 is a cool site and has some hard to find parts but they are very pricey.

I like their site it has a lot of information as well as part and it's driving distance from me. I do not have a problem paying for good quality but if I can get the same thing for less thats the way I have to go.

I have no problem paying for quality either (when the wallet allows) but I have found some of the same parts, P/N's on other sites for half the price. If I was a wealthy man I would just buy from Q4x4 and save myself the hassle but I'm not.
They ARE a great resource for hard to find parts and knowledge.
For example: I have an 23 spline input NP205 from an A/T truck. I have a manual truck. Q4x4 claims to have a few NOS New Process 29 spline input shafts. They are around $300. I have found aftermarket ones for much less but I would rather buy the NOS because it is likely better quality.

I don't know about Zbag parts. The second link I posted is NP parts. I have ordered a few times from them. Most of the time the parts are in stock. The only items I have not found them to have in stock was the rubber washers used on the drive shaft yokes.

A lot of guys on here have bought the zbag getrag kits and seem to have had good luck with them so I would think their other stuff is comparable. It's getting to the point that when aftermarket stuff works as it should it is more of a surprise than when if fails
in early.

The biggest problem that I find with aftermarket parts is consistency. One cargo container might have good heat treating the next might not. Of course if all that's available is aftermarket then you have no choice.
