NO POWER HELP needed fast

I have a 1993 1 ton dually 2wd. The truck runs fine but has no power. The gas pedal seems to have changed and I think this is the main reason for no power. I can press down on the gas pedal fairly easy until 3/4 throttle then it gets really hard to press down. Seems to have a little more power after 3/4 throttle but is really hard to "stay in it" for a long period of time. I have a new lift pump and the injection pump has been rebuilt in the past (2 years ago?) I have checked all the turbo boots. My boost gauge will still hit 25lbs if I stand on it. Seems the boost is lower over all though??? During low rpm the boost seems to not come on as quick. All of this may have nothing to do with having no power, just things I have recently noticed. I have changed the fuel filter and air filter. I've been thinking of "turning up the pump" but have no pyro gauge. Where is a good place to get one? Or an "A" pillar 3 gauge set (Trans, Pyro, and boost). I have to tow 10,000lbs in 3 days. Thanks for all your fast help.

Also I've obviously thought about selling this truck if anyone is interested. It has a utility bed and 145,000 miles. $6500??????????

First thing I would check is to see if the throttle linkage is giving full travel to the throttle arm on the pump. With the truck off, have somebody get in a floor it. Watch to make sure the throttle arm is being stopped by the high speed screw. A worn linkage or stretched cable will keep you from getting full throttle, repair or adjust as necessary.

I did move the linkages on the injection pump to see if there was any resistance. It seems to move full travel with no problems. I also serviced the trans and filter just for fun. I will look at the accelerator cable and see if it is functioning properly. Thanks for all the help so far. Any other culperates anyone can think of? I'm just amazed how slow this truck is. Its making me think of going back to gas! This is my first diesel and seems to be more work and maintanence than it's worth. What could I sell it for? It is an extra cab too. I would love to keep it if I could get it running good and get rid of the vibration it has too. I replaced the rear u-joint and put new front ball joint and tires up front. No change

could the extra peda pressure at the end of the throttle be caused by the kickdown cable?? Also if you are really able to get 25 psi boost some one has probably already adjusted the pump some. Here is a site that tells you how to set the pump up. http://dodgeram.org I would start with the smoke screw, its the easiest & fastest. Just thought of something else, its been a long time since stations changed to winter fuel but could that be it.

PontiacPuller, I think I've seen a picture of when you put your truck together some time back?

The coiled throttle spring tends to be stiff on these. I have read where guys have trimmed a little of the coil to ease it up. Seems like Bushy may have done that. Make sure all the slack is taken up out of the throttle cable befor setting linkage. I bent a washer between the stopper on the cable and the pedal. Some guys go so far as to bend the pedal up. When you adjust the linkage, make sure it is able to reach the bracket that stops it's travel, if it stops its self it makes a lot of stress on the pump. 25lbs is pretty much on if your turbo is stock, just have to make it a little more cozy getting there. I got my gauges locally, pod from Piers, but sounds like any of the performance links will square you away.
