Next question on trubo's
OK, I think I am going with the 12cm housing and after reading the old posts about problems with the 12 and a H1C I think I will go with the HX35. I only rev to gov speen when shifting uphill loaded. Usually I like to keep rpm around 15-1800 and I think the 12 will give me more low end torque. Possible problem is the getrag, will it hold up to low end torque like that. Now the question, what is a fair price for a used HX 35 and what mods will I have to do to put it on.

DJ, I have put a 12cm wastegated housing on a 92 with the factory turbo. EGT's were a lot lower and he also didn't like to take his truck up in the revs. This was also a 5 spd. with 3.55 gears.....never got to hook up the wastegate.

The 12 cm hasn't blown my Getrag yet. I drive in traffic most of the time and I love the near-instant spoolup. Going from the 21 to the 12 is like getting a whole new truck. The H1C has held together so far, but I'm looking to get an HX-35 to get rid of that annoying flutter. Only mod needed will be to shorten or move the downpipe back, the 12 and 14 cm housings are about 1.5 inches longer that the 16, 18.5, and 21 cm housings. HX-35's go for around $350 on EBay.
