Went out and had a little photo shoot today and took about 30 pics, still figuring out all the little quirks about my new camera. BTW it is a great day to be outside, last I checked it was 63 degrees!!!!!
Heres a few of what I took.

I've never had any trouble with a M/T in the rain, don't see why these would be any different. The most scary tires I've had in the rain were a set of Drag Radials on my old 72 fat block c10 Thing got interesting with those.

LOL I hear you on that one. I was looking at these tires as well, which is why I was curious about the rain performance. I've had some good, others not so good.

Back in March I made a trip out to Indiana and back with the old KOs up front and a pair of KM2s in the rear, tires were around 4-5/32 and were 35s/315, anyway I drove most of the way home in the rain with no issues. I was right around 8000 lbs also. Weight and tread width make a big difference also

These tires don't sweat weight or rain. I got 43K out of a set of 35's on a Duramax that weighed 8400 lbs. Towed super heavy on a daily basis.
Also, traction in the rain is no longer an issue with the new generation of mud tires. Back in the late 90's, mudders earned a bad reputation as being bad in the rain. This was before tire makers focused on wet-weather on-road performance in mud tires. Things have changed drastically.
Pulltilbroke, truck looks good. I just slapped a set of 35" KM2's on my 1st gen. Changed the look of the truck completely.

Awesome feeling having new skins on any vehicle. Much nicer ride with lug depth, than none.
One thing I've noticed on mine, as I just installed new tires on 3 of my trucks, is that they're all a little slippery when you first install them. As time goes by, and you get about 400-500 miles on them, the traction improves on wet surfaces.
Did a little research as to why this occurs, and I found out that tire manufacturers spray the molds that the tires are made in with a release agent, similar or actually a silicone product. This allows them to pull the tires from the molds with out any trouble, but embeds the outer layer of the tire with a slippery surface. After a little wear, they gum right up...
Hope your new skins last long. Keep the best for the spare, I hope?

MARF, I like my Calico paint job
Randy, Better handling, better braking, better steering, not as hard on steering parts, less rolling resistance, Skinnys go way better through the snow and mud, and I like tall skinnys. and hopefully I will see a slight mileage increase.
NJTman, This is actually the first New full set of treads I've ever bought and I'm loving em. I bought a few pairs back when I was driving my old 72 but for some reason they never lasted to long with a BigBlock and a kid behind the wheelMan that truck was a lot of fun.

those are 35" tires? and stock height? I've tried 2 different sets of 35s on my truck and they won't fit in the front, they catch and bind when you turn on the fenders. I got 33s right now and they fit pretty good.

Yes sir, those are 35's with no lift. I can make 'em rub if I turn hard left in reverse. Other than that, they're fine. How is the arch on your front springs? Still flat?

Mine aren't sagged yet, they are just about level now. I thought about gettin an add a leaf or new front springs and taking the fender flare things off and I think I could fit 35" tires
