Needle valve closed?
Something plugged up with sealer?
Defective gauge or sending unit? (electrical)
Or maybe you don't have any fuel pressure. A VE will pull fuel in and run, just not to peak performance.

No sir. Just put 10 psi of shop air to the sensor and it read 10 psi. Could the LP be out? It starts up just fine but the manual handle on the LP doesn't pump up any fuel when pumping it

Sounds like the LP is shot.
The gauge works, as tested.
As j_martin said, the VE pump will run without a LP as long as you don't have any air leaks in the lines.

I hope the spelling is right on, as todays crowd is tough.

They are pretty cheap.
I get them through Geno's, they ship them right to my door and they are under $50. IIRC

I noted this as well Oliver. Hopefully just some pent up spring fever issues and not a sign of an ongoing trend or something

Cheers boys and girls!

I never steer off track in my posts, so mr admin allow me this one: I teach apprenticeship to the sheet metal/HVAC trades and these students range anywhere from 19 to 55 years of age. Out of all the written exams, drafting exams, and an exam on building duct fittings the most feared test is- you guessed it..... Wait for it..... The spelling test!
