new flex plate and an elk

Well, we got the new flex plate in the old girl and still had time to get the better hunter in the family out there to go hunting. and my wife ended up puting a nice spike elk in the freezer.I sure am glad she is around to feed us, or we would be eating beef all the time.

It could be worse-you may be eating bird flu chicken!

I'd take the elk steaks over venison any day. Hey Tim a big congrats to your wife. Don't supose she'd want to part with one of those steaks would she? Tell her just to leave it in your mail box & I'll stop by this afternoon to get it.

QIK2D I could'nt tell you how it compares because we dont have white tails that you can legally hunt here. just black tails. but I can tell you that a big ol elk steak and a pile of chantrell mushrooms is some pretty good eating. And as for you yanker. the hunter will be cutting the elk up tomorrow while I am sleeping. I'll make sure to put your name on a couple of pack's of back strap. And I think it will be gone before you can get here Nuttymopar.but any time your in our neck of the woods, I'll treat you to a nice elk dinner.

Thanks TimB. It has been quite some time since I have been to OR. Think I was there the last time was back in 1973. I'm sure some things have changed since then. But I do plan on going back there again because it is such a lovely place.
