New cab: rust proofing?

Hey, im getting a new cab, and will be sandblasting the underneath, floors, cab corners, rockers and the roof, and want to spray them with undercoating. what is a good undercoat that will prevent rust to use for this?
thanks.

I have heard that undercoating traps any moisture that may be on the metal, even if you think its dry. When I get ready to do my crew cab I am going to have it media blasted and use a rust preventative and prime over top of that. As far a rust on the roof I have read a couple of threads on here and heard mention to drilling holes on the inside of the roof by the windshield so that if any moisture gets in there it has a place that it can escape. That will also allow the tight area of metal (inner and outer roof panels) to breath in which it will aid in moisture dispersion. But thats just my thoughts and I am sure that someone else has some better ideas.

If at all possible get it media blasted like he said. It's so much cleaner. Sand sucks especially on cabs. I sand blasted a cab once and for the amount of air and electricity to keep the compressor going to blow it all out, I'll the cost to have it media blasted. Just my opinion.

Oh, DO NOT UNDERCOAT! you'll regret it in the long run.

I don't know what you guys are using for 'undercoating' but Rust Check or Krown make bodies last, living in heavy salted roads I have seen how well bodies last when these treatments are used. All my vheicles have been done and they last.

If it were me and I was going down to bare metal, I would epoxy prime and then shoot an acrylic enamel.

leave it be. When you go messing with going down to bare metal, thats a whole new ball game! metal prep takes a lot of time and money.

POR 15 then soak it with oil, you won't be sorry. Or like archer2 said, go with a good epoxy primer. I don't care what anybody says, undercoat, chip guard, rhino liner, they are all junk.
