New 4" exhuast coming

Ken, or anyone else for that matter!
I just called TV Diesel to put in an order. They said the kit with a muffler is 275 and a little less for a straight pipe.
My question is, in your opinion, which one should I get? My trucks exhaust is currently cut off below the cab and it is loud, which I usually like. There are times though, that I would like a little less noise. How luch quieter in the cab is a straight pipe vs my exhaust?
Will the muffler raise my egts much?
Thanks for all the input. I told her that if I didn't get any advice to just run the order with the muffler. I have an hour to change my mind.
thanks
Clark

I just ordered the Diamond Eye kit with muffler this evening. I leave real early in the morning and don't want to upset the neighbors too much on days I drive the truck. At $275 with shipping I couldn't pass it up, hopefully I'll get more than I paid for!

Thanks to Ken's suggestion...I ordered the new 4" DE kit from TV Diesel today. I'm guessing it will show up at my door sometime late this week, or early next. I probably won't get around to installing it until Aug or so....but I'll keep everyone posted as well. TV said the kit comes with everything needed to install (clamps, hangers, etc...). WOOT!

I am going to try to put the system on this week some of the things I see about this system its designed for a 4x4 it has the kicker to go around the transfer case. the aluminumized 4" pipe is made in the USA. the muffler is a stainless steel 4" straight threw design about 32" long quality over all looks good. I went and got 3 of the wide s/s lap joint exhaust clamps and need to get 2 new rubber hangers before I start to put it on I don't want to have to run to town once I start to put it on. Ken

A big heavy box was waiting for me when I got home today. I hope to get it installed tomorrow. Wish i had ordered some of those band clamps so i can take it apart when it's time to swap over to the crew. Maybe tack welds will do the job?

nah, i haven't had any luck with welding exhausts up, they rust/corrode very easily. Don't crank down on the exhaust clamps. Get a tail pipe expander and that will fix the unions after you manage to pull them apart.

Got it installed yesterday, one of the hottest days of the year so far. Made a run down to NAPA for some stainless band type clamps. I'll post up some pics soon. Definitely worth the money.
