New 12V heads

Alabama Cyld heads has NEW 12V heads. Ready to install for $450.00. + shipping. Have not heard anything about them. Anybody know anything? I'm sure the castings are made over sea's for that price.

7mm heads. And thats what I have not had time to look up. If the piston bowl differance between the 9mm to 7mm is going to cause issue's. Other than changing injectors. Killer price though..

If they are a 7mm bore than they are stock 91.5-93 head and a bolt on upgrade for the 89-91 motors because the non-ic heads tend to crack from the injector bore to the valve seat.

Greg (G126xx) bought one. I believe one of his friends on this site bought it off his engine prior to the truck and engine going to the scrap yard.

I cant seem to find a cummins head on there. All I could find is a 5.9 gasser head. Maybe it's just me.

I've never dealt with them before, but Alabama cylinder head does sell cylinder heads for other diesel engine models/manufacturers like Isuzu and GM 6.2/6.5 in addition to Cummins. Seems they have experience with diesels, but I couldn't guarantee that the new head you'd purchase from them would be an original manufacturer's head or a casting from China. I mean if I was buying a new cylinder head I'd like to be getting an Isuzu head made in Japan, Cummins head made in the U.S., and etc. The price is very good, but quality is another thing you have to keep in mind. I mean stuff from China might be good, but I don't know until one had put a good amount of miles on the product to vouch for its durability and strength.

I got one. Very clean unit and shipped quick. Haven't had any problems with it at all I just wish I had the money to port/polish and oring right out of the chute. All in all if I needed another one I would by from them in a heart beat, there customer service was excellent and they could answer any question I threw at them without hesitation.

Their application is for '94 to '98, so type in one of those years.
