Guys the brackets are the same from an auto to getrag. The differences are between a gated shifter to a non-gated shifter.
Phillip, your pic is of a non-gated shifter. Meaning you can push and pull the shifter all the way in either direction without having to shift it sideways.
1990, your pic is of a gated shifter. Meaning you have a gate made into it (seen in pics) that you have to push sideways to move the shifter up and back.
They used the non-gated shifter up until mid-91 if I am correct. Then they switched to the gated style.

Well thats good info on the shifters , types and what they fit , What I do know now is my shifter and linkage will work but I am missing the bracket between the shifter linkage and the getrag , the actual bracket that bolts to the getrag between the linkage ( I have the gated one )

OK, so I have always wonders about this...... I have never taken one of these "gated" shifters off and studied it thoroughly, just acknowledged it during routine service/repairs. My '93 requires no side to side actions for shifting the t-case, like every other 205 I've had. I just figured it was worn out or previously rigged, but was supposed to require side to side movement for neutral or low range (whichever one was deemed dangerous).
After studying these pics, the "gated" part appears to do nothing? Is that right?
