Need measurements

Well lets start by saying I recently tryed a friend CTD and I was imeadiatly hooked on the feal of a real diesel. Well I have this 79 Ford F-150 I 'm currently trying to restore and I have heard that on a 2-50 of the same year you can transplant a cummins by cutting the front crossmember ans of course the obvious fitting and fabricating of brackets i was wondering what the measurements for a 5.9 cummins are? I was also wondering if any other members think this is too big of a project to try to tackle?

And I am aware there will have to be suspension Mods but im prepared for that.

Forget fordcummins.xxx unless you just have too much money.

Look in my photo gallery, I put a 5.9 in a F450. The cab to core support
are the same. The cabs are the same from 86-96. There is plenty of room
for a 5.9 in ANY Ford truck. I will tell you that a Ford ZF WILL NOT take the
torque of a Cummins. I wiped 2 of them in less than 5000 miles, you have been warned.

You DO NOT have to cut the front crossmember, you just have to fab your mounts.

xxx will tell you that it takes 100 shop hours to do the conversion.... Bull Snot !

I know my way around the shop I assure you, I did it in 24 shop hours!
BUT it's been over a year, maybe 2 years, I don't remember. I have been
working and re-working many things that I didn't like the first time.
