Need help identifying this hose

I have 3 hoses coming out of firewall and one is not connected.. I need to figure out what it is for.

first pic is a shot from front bumper looking in to give you a refernece, then the next 2 pics are closer to show more detail on hoses

In the last pic yuo can see the one empty hose.. I am guessing a vaccum line but to what?? there is nothing else not connected on that side of engine that I can find..

Thanks for any help

I've always assumed that it was a vacuum line that goes from you're heater control panel to the heater line. Don't know how exactly it attaches to the heater controls, though...

If you look behind the dash. you can see the other side of that connection. on my 92, there is NOTHING on either side if that bulkhead connector, hence you probably don't worry about it.

It is there for a cab drain during high water crossings.

That would be the vacuum line for heater temperature control. The one that is connected, that is.

4RnrRick is right- there is nothing on the other side of the firewall from that opening. My guess would be that it is a mass produced item for lots of Chrysler applications, and this (truck) one doesnt use all the connections available.

I had to replace that piece on my 92, as the previous owner had burned through the downpipe, and didnt replace EVERYTHING when he fixed the mess. I got one from another DTR member when I got some other parts from him. I do have all new AC lines and evaporator, though, courtesy of the p.o..

It's supposed to be tucked under the sound deadening cover below it.
