Need Fuel tank straps
I am in the process of redoing the rear frame, installing skyjacker softride springs, shocks and giving everything metal a coat of POR-15. I removed the gas tank to clean behind the frame. There was a ton of debris there, I suggest everyone wash their trucks thoughly, I might even consider forcing a hose down the frame rail every so often.
So one of my fuel tank straps is fine, the other is history, I believe it is the rearward strap. I won't be putting the truck back together for another week. Pretty much everyone I have checked with says their unavailable. Does anyone have any? or have they made any out of stainless perhaps?

Unavailable? Did you check with DC? I just put one in a truck about a year ago, unless their all gone already they should be available. Although there is no reason you can't make or have one made out of any material you want stainless, mild steel, what ever your little heart desires.

Checked with DC local dealer was showing no stock, and no other dealers nationwide were showing any stock. Checked with aftermarket parts houses, dorman, newchryslerparts.com, done several searches on the web for them.
I am think I will end up making some from some stainless sheet.

Stainless Steel banding material is available through most industrial supply houses. McMaster-Carr has 3/4in. by .025in. thick, type 302 ss in a 200 foot roll for less than $80. It has a 2450 pound breaking strength. I found it on page 1428, Catalog 112.
