Need doors measured...
This is a request from the "Door reseal kit" thread.
We are confused on door sizes. We need to know if a ramcharger door is the same as a regular p/u, and if these again are the same size as the front doors on a crewcab?
So if you have any of these could you please go out and measure the overall length of the door and post it here.
I'll start with my 87 Dodge ram reg cab. Taking the measurement from the front of the door, along straight through the door lock to the back of the door. It's doors are approx. 42 1/8".

The J.C.Whitney customer service people say otherwise as well...but how much stock can you put in their ability to know interchanges...

I can say that ive had an 86 ramcharger door on my 90 before and right now there is a door from a 75 on it. lol It doesnt look too good. Dodge basically used the same body style for 20 years straight, the doors are definately all the same size.

I have ramcharger doors on my crewcab. I have pick-up doors on my ramcharger. My old ramcharger doors are on confedpirate's crew. All the doors, front doors that is, are the same door body (except for the early 74 ramchargers with no window hoop).

I would hope that all replacements would be the newer style. The seem to be much better quality and a lot handier. Unless you were building a concours truck, I can't imagine why you would want the old type.

i used a '86 for the passenger side, i remember having to replace the latch and striker plate assembly, newer didnt relate to older, mirror mounts differently, i made internal support brackets to help restrain the perch.
