Mystery brake issue solved.
It's been a while since I've posted. Back in 2013 I was having a strange brake issue which no one here or at my brake shop could explain. New master cylinder was installed and everything adjusted and checked. The strange thing was that the brakes worked fine except when you turned full lock to the left the pedal would go to the floor and almost no braking. I spent the last year plus being very careful when turning full lock to the left that I would have lots of room. I finally took the truck back because this was not safe. Turned out the new master cylinder was what was causing the problem. Changed it again and everything works as it should. No one can explain it and one other member had the same problem. If anyone has any idea why a master cylinder would fail only after a full lock left turn but worked fine it would be one for the group to know. The master cylinders for these trucks are notorious for failure but this is beyond weird. Sure nice to not have to worry any more.

A thought! Have someone (preferably an woman in a short shirt) sit in the drivers seat, apply the brakes and turn the steering wheel full left while you stick tour head under the instrument panel and watch the steering column and the brake linkage. I know it will be tough, but you need to look for any flexing or interference between the 2.

I had the same issue, only I can't say it was a left turn only.
I have my own theory that when I followed the sticky on how to clean up the calipers and caliper mounts (sticky is for 2wd) with a file, and lubed them up , it cured my issue.

There would if your steering column was falling apart like mine did.

When you get old, you get easily distracted.
