My Ramcharger R/T 440+6 build
#32
Not quite done with it yet, so I have no Idea what MPG ill se. The 440 I built for it is a steel crank 69 block, 10.5 SRP forged pistons, Eagle H beam rods, and a mild hydraulic flat tappet cam. The outboard carbs come on a touch too fast so far, i need a stiffer spring inthe vaccum pods, a larger squirter, and 50cc accelerator diaphrams, but if you eas into them its quite fun. Almost more fun than my 408" stroker in my 71 Demon. Thats an easy 500hp small block with a 4 gear, so its **** harry, but this ram is just plain FUN.
I should easily be able to get 10-12MPG after some timing and tuneing.

My 77 in my sig used to get 11 w/ half ton axles, 3.55's and 33inch tires. Now with the big cam, high comp heads, 4.11's with 33 inch Truxus tires I am lucky to get 6, on a good day, down hill.

Honestly I really dont care what I get, Its a good day driving truck, and its a truck Ill drive in the snow like the ol man loved to do, so woth that said, Its not going to get thousands of miles on it, but I will say this, If I really enjoy driving it around, and I find my 69 or 70 Super Bee, the six pack is comeing out, and a 12valver is goin in. Then I wont have to worry about mileage.
