Whats your thoughts on the best look, chrome or black grill? Should i keep the black bumper or leave it aluminum?

Well im no Jim Lane but giving it a try. I am not spending too much time on the fine details as i see these springs are sagged out pretty good and it looks like there is a leaf added already so i will be replacing them this winter i hope. I am doing the front first as i want to add an EZ inch to gain alittle height aswell.

Well finished the front end, took it for a ride and am impressed. You no longer feel the small bumps and all other bumps have a much smoother suspension action, not jarring. It is alot of work though. I am debating on starting the rears, should go alittle easier than the fronts except the leaves are much longer so i will be spending more time with the flapper wheel.

Truck looks great after the repair. And I say keep the chrome grill and keep the bumper aluminum.

After you cleaned up the springs, did you lube them, or put some sort of liner between them?

Painted and installed the plastic inserts at the end.

I will keep the chrome grill but i am leaning towards the black bumper.

Halfway through the rears now, will finish up tomorrow except for u-bolts on monday.

Should have it wrapped up today and will try and get some feedback on here by tomorrow.

Also when i picked up my truck i towed my kia magentis (weight ?) back with me, on a long large incline i saw a max of 1160F for EGT and still only about 12-14PSI max boost.

This is for a stock pump other than max speed adjustment screw backed out.

So i took it for a drive and all i can say is hell ya! Its actually an uneasy feeling, it feels so much smoother/quieter that something feels wrong. I added 1'' to the front and took 1'' out of the back to level it, to me it looks right on the money. I also took out the top overload spring but might put it back in as i see i am almost on the bottom overload spring with no load. I will hook up to my trailer this weekend and see what it does.

The pics on the street the rear looks a tad lower because it is in a small depression of the road.

Now i just need to fix my steering from the added 1'', crossover looks like it will be very tight.

I put the old stance at the top for comparison.

Looks good to me. You've sure done a lot of work to get those springs cleaned up and re-assembled. And I think you got a nice even stance there.

It was alot of work, i think i went through 10 flapper wheels and 4 drill bits doing all four springs.

Have kingpin rebuild kits and a borg' shaft on the way as well.

Decided i am going to install my 351cw, ps ic, cooler tubz, denny pin, and gov spring after i get back from holidays (next week). Hopefully the clutch can handle it, if not than it just gives me a reason to upgrade.
