my new napa filter
it's BIG!!!! part# 6644. for an idea of the size, compare it to the innercooler pipe below it. the pipe is 3"!!! the paper isn't folded as tight as my old filter either, so i'm hoping it breathes a little easier. hopefully my oil filter parts will be here by tuesday so i can give 'er a go. i will post my impressions.

i don't know, but it was less than 30 bucks and it doesn't let any dirt through. both of those are big in my book. i'm not a fan of air filters that you can see light through though. the three k&n's i've taken off friends trucks, you could actually see light through and there was an unacceptable amount of dirt in the intake pipe. not that i think they're bad or anything, i just don't think they're that good on anything but a normally aspirated engine.

That's like a BHAF on sterooids! Are you planning to make a drip shield to keep water off?
I'm with you on the oiled cotton. OK for a race engine, but they don't filter well enough for long term life.
