Is my injection pump gonna live?

i noticed that my truck had a little lope at idle and i couldn't figure out what was wrong. I pulled the fuel filter off and it reaked of gas. It still felt rather oily rubbing it in between my fingers. I thought maybe i had made a mistake but sent my dad over to the place today and there had been several other complaints. They accidently put some gas in the diesel barrel. They thought about 25% in there barrel and i put in about 17 gallons. So the mixture should have ended up about 12-15%. They said they would pay for any repairs so i was wondering what i should do??? I ran about 125 miles on this bad stuff. I pumped all of the fuel out tonight and put in fresh fuel. The lope at idle went away and it ran great. My only thinking is it gonna fail 6 months from now because of this?

It would be hard to say if it will live to a ripe old age. Several big trucks in the Houston area had the same thing happen to them about a 20/25% mixture. The new computer trucks suffered most. One guy I kinda know had the mechanical Cat drained it out and refilled it and has never looked back, no problems. With my luck it would be a coin toss. Hope you the best.

I don't think i'd go that far as to purposely run gas in one. Your braver than me. Unknowingly having gas in one and running it some is one thing. okish you have never had pump problems? Injector tip probs? I'm not doubting your word but ur a brave soul.

If it doesn't blow up in the next couple tanks then it wasn't the gas. If the cam plate or rollers got hurt it will die in then next thousand miles give or take a few.
