Agreed. My stocker with 400,000+ won't catch my fingernail.

yeah I noticed mine was wearing what I would say as kinda bad like 2 days after I installed it. I haven't checked it since, I really should... my stocker with nearly 250k miles on it hadn't really marked at all so idk...100 miles had more marks on it than my stocker with 250k. *shrug. I guess I should pull it again and see how it looks and use grease while I'm in there.

mine has a fairly deep groove in it too, after around 2,000 miles of use.

I manage my BD pin with an index mark on the diaphragm. It gets taken out out to re-grease every few months and re-installed clocked a degree or two one way or the other within about a 10 degree range where it will ride properly on the face of the pin.

No groove, just a very wide witness mark in about 15k miles.

Here's what happens when you don't make them hard enough. It will gouge.

WOW, that is bad... A few thousands? That is bad also... 300,000 plus miles and no gouges on the stocker. You better look into any gouging. At the very least your going to be risking damage to the fuel pin o-ring, and that is a bigtime PITA to replace...

Or hard face it with a welder, cut a groove and then grind it back to its original slant. maybe....

I thought one of the big selling points behind the Denny T is that it was a harder steel than BD or Ol'Smokey?

It is a big selling point, amd I have yet to see a "real" gouge. I think a slight mark is to be expected.

Plus from seeing the other pins, the DennyT pin is more aggresive.

Know what I mean? Whats gonna give you more trouble, dragging a hoe(gardening tool) across a plain of flat, smooth, glass or dragging a hoe over the top of a brick road?

No, all the DennyT cheerleaders that were saying it's the best thing since sliced bread have suddenly disappeared.
