The one in my transmission wasn't. The whole thing had to be replaced. Originally we didn't know the transmission was form a V10 and the governor was missing a part (one of many). The good transmission shop ordered a used diesel governor for parts and sitting side by side, there was nothing interchangeable and they didn't even look alike. Fortunately the diesel governor was repairable. For all I know, the shop that did the bad overhaul could have put one in from a Chevy.

Best thing I have done is do the 47rh swap and run switches for lock/up and Over drive I Love it it will hold you in the seat when you hit Lock/up .Best thing you can do too a First Gen is go 47rh .
