Mileage increased

On the last two tankfuls of fuel I got 1 mpg better than I have since I put in the POD's two years ago. Any ideas? Same trip to work, same driving style, same Chevron fuel.
Also, does anyone have any tips for better fuel econmy? My truck gets about the same fuel mileage no matter what, run it hard, run it easy. Thanks

Plugged fuel filter? Maybe the POD's got a little plugged up with soot?

Actually, I think the Chevron got a batch of fuel with higher cetane than they normally get.

My only tip would be to advance the timing if you haven't already.

First time reaching 600k/tank

I just filled up. My last fill up I reached 603km's on one tank. I'm normally 500km's/tank in the summer and fighting to get 400km's in the cold winter. Is this somewhat the norm?

What is the "Technicooler" you have in your signature and what kind of mileage are you getting?

How much more smoke do the PODs add and can the amount of smoke PODs add be controlled if you want to?

Sorry for the delay, I curently get about 19.2 mpg, three tankfuls. When I got the truck in 95 it got 19.5-20 all the time. It dropped to 18.5, I attributed it to the fact the Michelin tires on it got replaced with All Terrain T/A's. The technicooler is a Banks intercooler (their name for it). After the 16cm2 housinig I turned the fuel up, boost went from 15 to 21 psi. Then I put the POD's in, turned the fuel down some. Smoke is not that bad, it doesn't smoke noticably unless you have it floored, and then it clears up with rpm. Smoke is controllable with pump settings. Boost is now a little over 29 psi. With the POD's mileage went to 17.5. Many had posted no change, some an increase. I contacted Pier's and they sent me another set (Piers is great to deal with, two thumbs up). The new set did not change anthing, so I left it at that. Mileage always drops in the winter (fuel) about 1 mpg, then comes back in the spring. That brings me to now, when all the sudden, I'm getting 19+ mpg. I keep the filters clean/changed, I run Fleet Guard which I buy from Cummins. Thanks, Clarence

I get around 650 -700 km per tank, with quite alot of city driving mixed in. I've noticed that in the winter I get around 600 with the same driving. Mine is completely stock, and un-tweaked. If you're getting only 4-500km, something's not right. I hope you get her going well!
