Will these also work for a 98 dually? Do you by chance have a part#? I really want to bring down the rear end on mine. Would like to get it a little more level.

Im not sure if the shackles would work on the 98. My 2000 has about a 4" block in the rear between the leaf spring and the axle, If your truck is setup the same way then you can just remove the block or replace it with a smaller one, you would probably just have to buy shorter u-bolts.

I do not have the part number for the shackles, but they are for an early 90's half ton chevy pickup.

Nope, mine doesn't have the blocks. The first time I read about removing them I got a smile on my face and ran out only to find I don't have them.

Instead of the nosecone, find a turbojet engine and bolt it in the box!
a ton of thrust could come in handy.

Lowering a 1st gen is like converting a minivan to a SFA 4x4, it just ain't right .

My son works for a helicopter company, and they have been looking for a turboshaft engine for my '41 Dodge as a puller....

FWIW I just got back from Anaheim CA w/the family (vacation). I saw no less than 4or5 sweeet 1st genners . One was a red 2X/ LOWERED with what looked like 20`s. At first I thought yuck! but as he was cruisisng down the road I started to like it. Not my cup `o` tea but very nice (and cleeeaaan...gotta love the west coast). The showroom looking 92/93 CC took the cake tho, outstanding! You Cali/west coast guys make me jealous...NO RUST, unbelieveable!

Makes me wonder where those so-cal guys and gals get the money to do that stuff to their vehicles! Shoot, a cardboard box with a power pole costs 300K out there!

Debt.

Or education.

Or, in my case, education financed by debt.
