Max power for VE
What is the maximum amount of fuel the VE will flow. I'd like to know what kind of numbers I could get out of my 91.5 without switching to a p-pump. Guys are getting into the high 400's from what I can find. I'm not sure what the longevity of the little VE is at that level though! I found it to not be worth selling my ram for parts so I plan on putting the engine on the stand for some upgrades over the winter. Then I will find a chassis to put it in.

Mine's not as impressive as Josh's, but it's just a tweaked stock pump. 3200 RPM spring, custom fuel pin, and the fuel screw turned in to the edge of runaway is all that's done to it.

The main issue with VE longevity seems to be fuel flow, pressure, and volume. Keep those up high enough, and you should be good.
If you want a play truck, 400 hp is easy. If you want to tow, and never look at the pyro, it is a bit more challenging.

Cool, I was thinking about putting this into a dakota with all the massaging and shoe-horning this would entail. I had alot of money into the drivetrain before it got totalled out and I think that this would be the best way to continue to enjoy it. If this project ever gets under way I'll post pics for you guys.
