Question Luberfiner Filters

Some time back, someone posted a listing of fuel-filters in order of preference, listing from best to worst.

I can't seem to come up with the information.

How do LUBERFINER filters rank, compared to the Baldwins, Donaldsons, and FleetGuards ??

Thanks.

As far as price they are the least expensive of the three. A shop that serviced our trucks at work switched from Baldwin to LF due to price. Not sure of the quality though. Never really noticed or heard of problems.

I sure hope they are good, I've been running them for two years. I get them from the International truck shop, and the guys there say they are great filters, but they are trying to make a sale.

I've heard of some problems with them in the past, but not sure which application, or how long ago. I got the impression they were barely a step above Fram. They are cheap, though. I'm surprised the shop switched from Bladwin to LF- Baldwins aint that high.

I got a mixed box of fuel-filters, all fit our engines, all are water-seperating, with the drain-valve made on the bottom.

There are Donaldsons, Baldwins, FleetGuards, and a few LuberFiners.

The price was RIGHT, so I could'nt pass them up.

I just didn't want to use something I shouldn't.

While we're talking filters, just today, a past 75-yr-old successful farmer stated that he had always had the best luck with FRAM filters; this guy has dozens of tractors, several road-tractors, trucks of all sizes, and who-knows-what-else.

He said that he used FRAM on everything and had for years.

He don't have internet to tell him otherwise.
