Lowering the truck
I've been thinking about lowering the truck a couple inches. Most of you will laugh but the truck is only 2wd. Everyone says the best thing I could do is put a front axle under it. I figure if I put all of this time and money into it, and a front axle, it would only get put in the mud.
Couple questions though... Has anyone put the leafs under the axle? I know a lot of stuff came like that likes jeeps n such.
Second question is what to do with the 5 inch exhaust. It's over the axle and runs between the leafs and shock. Pretty tight fit If anyone has pics or ideas I would really appreciate it. I think a lowered first gen with a short box conversion would be pretty sweet looking and different

Doin an axle flip would get you around 5-6 inches in the rear. It can be done but it couldnt tell you if your 5 inch exhaust will still fit if you just wanted a couple inches you could get lowering shackles for a 86 ford f150 they get about 2 inches the hardest is the front could leave your saggy factory springs in call it a lowering other than that you could get new springs and cut a coil out and drop roughly 3 inches but screws with your spring rate
