I am hopeing it is something I can just pick up at a local pump shop, does anyone know about this? I was so close to being done when it just jumped out and ran off. I found the spring and all, just not the piece the gov spring ataches too.

Help me get this thing back on the road! I was planing on Dyno'ing the thing today.

Yes, the pump shop can get you one. Get the part number off the exploded diagram in the sticky.

Always, always, always keep a finger on the top hat no matter what is going on. I don't care if your drop light fell on your head and a gopher just ran up your pant leg - keep a finger on the top hat until you get the governor spring hooked up.

I got it on once no problem, took like 15 minutes. Then I figured out I couldnt get the top back on with the fuel screw all the way in. So i took it back off to back the fuel screw off. Then my finger slipped and it jumped out. I found the spring and other part sitting on the frame, but the part the spring connects to is nowhere to be found. The gopher that ran up my leg must not have been impressed so it ate my spring holder. lol

thank god I'm a pack rat, I had all the extra parts I needed from the other VE volvo pump. Its together and running like a beast now. I lost the throttle linkage after the first few miles but I had plans for a better linkage anyway. The new linkage I now have a nice low idle and still get full fuel. Before I had to choose between 1200rpm idle and full fuel or 900rpm idle and not full throttle. Now I have 800 or so rpm idle and max throttle just one thread off full mechanical stop. Someone should market this new throttle linkage idea to solve the high idle problems with turning the fuel up too far. lol
