Lift pump volume test
Anyone know the specs to test for a bad lift pump?
I cranked for about 15 sec and looked like my new low pressure piston lift pump put out about 2 ounces.

well... I believe cranking is only 200-300rpm's. Idle is about 700rpm, so that would be approximately 20-28oz a minute at idle roughly. That's very roughly 10-12gph at idle (negating pump curve characteristics). 2100rpm would yeild 30-36gph using the same flawed, rough calculation in my head
I assume there are some check valves on the outlet of the pump to make sure flow goes in one direction since it's a reciprocating pump? If so, sometimes they like some back pressure so the valve will seat quickly. If not, it will loose some of the effective stroke of the pump if the check valve is lazy to close... causing a push pull with the fuel in the discharge line slightly.

Forgot for a minute I own a service manual.
This is a concern now.
The Dodge FSM says it should pump minimum .75 quarts (24 oz.) in 30 seconds at cranking speed. Mine put out 3 ozs. Keep in mind this is for the factory lift pump, not the "better" piston pump.
I used the plunger to pump it and it pumps fine.
I then removed the pump from the block reconnected the inlet and outlet lines, pushed on the piston rod and it worked fine.
Had someone crank the engine over while I watched the camshaft fuel pump lobe and from what I can tell it looks ok.
Installed the pump again with the block spacer and it does not pump for didly squat!
Anyone else tried to check volume on one of these?
What else could be going on here?
