Which Lift Pump?

The old stock diaphragm lift pump on my truck has developed a pretty good leak. It's not dripping yet, but it always looks wet with diesel. I had planned to upgrade to the piston lift pump, but do I really need it with whats in my sig? Money is kinda tight right now, so that is a factor. If a diaphragm pump would be ok, where is the best place to buy one? What's the best brand? I've read on here that the Carter's are good.

I think you ought to do the piston pump if you can afford it. If you just can't do it right now, usdieselparts.com has a really good price on a diaphragm pump made by Delphi (formerly AC-Delco). I ran one for over a year with no problems, it made 7 psi at idle.
