Lift pump ????
How much resistance should there be on the lever on the lift pump?Mine seems to pump up and down really easy,I was wondering if that could be contributing to the problems Ive been having today.Ref.(maxx250 w-250 doa)

One quick easy way to see is to bypass the lift-pump and see if it starts/runs.
You can also gravity feed from a lawn-mower tank or the like.

Could very well be a bad LP. I just had a similar problem.

My lever was dead for quite a while. I mistakenly assumed that I was alwas on the high spot of the cam lobe so the lever wouldn't work. That dream faded quickly after work one day.

If it is working you will feel a definate resistance similar to a turkey baster bulb. Just remember if the pump is already compressed by the cam, it won't feel like anything, if you have a dead lever, try to rotate the engine a little and see if it firms up.
