Let The Rebuild Begin
Was driving home from Pittsburgh today when my engine decided to puke on me so I guess it's time to get off my duff and get the Cummins in. (Wonder if my chevy is trying to tell me something?) Ran across a screaming deal on a 4BT this week so it looks like that's what will be going in. Hopefully I'll be able to get the power out of it.
So far I have decided to go with the 3200 Rpm Governer spring, a set of Lucas P.O.D. injectors, Old smokey power pin, and a 16cm turbo housing. Any one want to venture a guess on the power output? Hopefully I can get some decent power out of the little Cummins.
Later all...

Should be right around 200 - 220 at the rear wheels. I'd suggest an HY-35 turbo off a 24 valve automatic instead of the 16 cm housing. The little engine needs a little exhaust housing to get quick spoolup.

I'm still learning the diesel thing here so I'm just throwing ideas around here to get a feel for hopping up a diesel. Don't worry I'll probably come up with some more hair-brained ideas soon enough.
Ya won't learn anything if ya don't try.
