leaky fuel heater

So I tried putting new seal on fuel heater but still had leak.
I just ordered shorter nipple to delete heater. I live in Kentucky
so I hope I have no winter problems. Any input would be gladly accepted

You'll be fine anywhere in the world without that problematic fuel heater. It does more harm than good in my opinion. Just run diesel fuel additive in the cold months. I use it year round.
