Angry KSB fuel leek after M&H timing spacer install

I installed a M&H timing spacer and i got a bad fuel knock. and now i have a fuel leek from where that little line gos in to the top of the pump. it runs fine with the KSB unpluged but if it sits for more then a couple hours the starts vary hard like i am loosing the prime. the little o-rings on that peice that goes in to the pump can i just go to NAPA and get some fuel rated o-rings?

Are you talking about the Control Valve, the one with 3 O-rings on it? If it's leaking from there you might be able to get something that "works" but might cause other issues...I don't know. Your better off getting the Bosch DGK-121 reseal kit and having the correct parts.

so what could have caused the to just start leaking like that it all went to gether just fine?

When was your pump last re-sealed? They get old and worn over time and just disturbing them can cause them to start leaking.

You're going to have to reseal it some time Jim. Those O-rings were made of rubber that relied on sulfur in diesel to lubricate them. Now that we run ultra low sulfur fuel, they don't get the lubrication they need. Eventually you'll have a sieve for a pump, like I did a year or two ago. The reseal kit, or any O-ring that's fuel rated these days doesn't require lubing.

Ahh, good work! I was wondering if you were back from your current tour or not. I remember you saying a while ago you were gone for a year or more, and I didn't think it was that long already. Glad you got it all sealed up, and enjoy your truck while you can!

And thanks for fighting the good fight. It may not make any sense why we're over there fighting a bunch of ...(insert your own version here) but we are, so thanks.

That really sucks about the wife glad the truck served you well. And thanks again for doing what you do over there. Keep your head straight and come home safely.

You're very welcome. Sorry to hear about the wife. I was in the Navy for a while, and I saw a lot of relationships destroyed because of the distance and the uncertainty, (including the one I was in at the time.) It's tough dude, for sure. Still, at least one woman in your life is standing beside you, your truck!
And, nothing against Kansas, but I think Oregon is WAY better. Especially the coast. I'd love to go out there one day. I'm looking forward to the results of your shopping list when you get back!
Take care brother.
