Kinda strange dash light question?

This one seems odd to me, but I think it has to be some sort of a short. My right turn signal indicator, in the gauge cluster, stays on when the headlights are turned on. The turn signal still functions properly with or without the lights on. Just wondering if anybody may know of somewhere to look for the short or whatever this is that I may not have thought of. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Your dash lights are bleading thru to your turn signal section. could be a short but i'd bet the tube that isolate the turn signal is not seated tightly,.....for what ever reason, and causing light to travel under the turn signal lenz and out the lenz! just my .02

I was reposting this because my other (left) turn signal started doing the same thing as my right. The funny thing is that the lights work normally when the turn signal is on. I also removed the flasher relay and then tried the turn signal. The lights went off when the turn signal was turned that way. Does this mean maybe the problem is in my turn signal switch. Need some ideas, this is gettin aggrevating.

Your marker lights are all there too? It'll stay on with headlights on when the tail light is out just like if the turn signal/ brake lights are out.

A bad ground could have the power feeding back thru the light(turn signal) trying to find ground thru the ground side of the turn signal bulbs, ground.

check the ground at the rear tail lights.

Could be a bad ground, but before tracing the wiring, pop out the right rear bulbs and see if it still does it. I have seen where the fillament blows and the bulb shorts internally. I`ve also seen where the contacts on the bottom of the bulb get hot and the solder blobs start to melt/distort and cause similar problems.
