holy cow... here's a 2002 that (KDP) pin took out a motor.
my 12v is pinned already... but all you 24v folks might take note..

One little help is glue the gasket to the cover, then take sewing thread through the holes and tie the gasket to the cover, then use your silicone over the gasket. Makes it so easy to apply the cover.

This thread made me kind of nervous so i ordered the parts earlier this week and tore it down and killed the kdp tonight. Wasn't a bad job at all i didn't think. I dont know how far the pin presses in the block but i bet i drove it back in about 3/16" the timing case on my truck has a big step in it and the pin sits down in the hole a ways so i couldn't tell how much it had worked out for sure. but it sure had been.
