KDP rest in Peace

Attended the get together today at Piers Diesel Research Inc. and met a lot of CTD owners. Piers, Louise and others from PDR put on a good show. We ate a lot of turkey that was cooked in the Cabella's turkey fryer.

Bill (Caldwell) and Mark (PDR) tried to fix the KDP on Bill's 92, but unfortunately the pin had started to walk out and now the front cover will have to come off to fix the problem to avoid some serious damage. Next Bill and I under the supervion of Mark fixed the KDP on my 92 under just a little over an hour which inluded watching the smoke show that Piers put on behind the shop.

Again PDR thank you!!!
--
Al

You left to early Alk. Just after I did my burn out, the cops showed up. Got lucky. He looked around and left after taking down some plate numbers.

Alk
I posted on TDR about your KDP - disregard!
How far out is Bill's KDP? The fix I use has a provision for a KDP thats moved. I would hate to see you remove the cover if it can be done another way. Let me know.
Bob

Bob,
Bill and Mark ground the front of a set screw to a point and hoped that the point would move in front off the pin and then force it back into the hole, but unfortunately the pin was to far out. By the way thanks for your offer to fix mine at the NW Bombers session at Rob's place.
---
Al

Alk, Bob a little late on this but as they say better late than never, turns out pin was not out the 91 has a different cover than the newer 91.5 and up which has a raised shoulder we actually drilled into the pin and shoulder. The pin had not moved ;D But we did find a dead bolt (from behind the cam gear) that had been hammered on a bit without causing any noticable damage . The bolts loosening of is a concern for our trucks . bill
