I ran Mobile One a few times. I don't think it's worth it IMHO. Now I run what Cummins recommends but I can't think of the brand right now but I look at O'Reilly's for the Cummins rec on the label. I think it's in a Blue gallon Jug. # gallons is the right amount. I bought a case of filters a few years ago so I'm still going through them. I think I have about 9 of them left. I'll probably change it again just before our trip in the fall. Assuming I can get my wife's boss let me use his shop.

I just put my D.E 4 inch on order last night. Should be here next week. Hopefully I will be able to get it installed with some help.

15-40 Valvoline is Cummins approved, and is a blue jug. I am considering going 10-30 Rotella semi synthetic. I run that in my cars.

i used rotella t5 synthetic blend today. I noticed my oil pressure went up a couple of pounds. I’m gonna drive it to work tomar and get me a tank full of off road diesel. And fill my extra cans while I can.

I must have bump something electrical when I done the lift pump cause my factory oil pressure gauge is now working. I also found that the big blue wire he’d been sliced into at some point. I wore nutted it back till I get home next week. Man I am ready.

The semi synthetic really keeps the gas engines clean inside. If the engine uses it allegedly the extra zinc can plug up the cats. I had a '93 Corolla at 140K I ran the Rotella in. At 240K changed the cam seal and that bad boy was like new inside. Diesel oil has a lot of detergents in it.

I still have 12 gallons of Valvoline in the shop I bought back in 2009. Flying J had it on sale for $24 per 4 gallon case. I bought a bunch. Quit driving the truck in 2011. Hopefully I can get in there this weekend and see what's up with the injector pump not tossing in the fuel enough.

I started putting the 15w-40 Valvoline in mine (Ashland KY is just about 1.5 hours from me) when I got it with 90,xxx miles. It has around 215K now and I've been happy with it. I use the Rotella in all my tractors though. No complaints with either, happy with both.

So I made the trip from Wyoming to Tennessee. Truck done fine with all the new fueling mods. Got to stay home for about a week. Now I’m in Florida. Hauled the camper down with me. While I was at home I installed the 374 gov spring I had laying around.

Camper weighs about 5k loaded

the spring really helped out while towing. The extra rpms let the truck stay on the turbo from gear to gear. It cruises at 70 at about 9psi. Egts are controllable at around 800 to 900. They will run up if you mash on it. Fuel mileage wasn’t terrible. The only problem I have now is engine temp. It never run hot but it stayed warm.

Stayed right there the hole trip. I know I need a real gauge.

I have yet to do the timing bump. Do y’all think it’s worth it. Will it help with engine temp or should I just bite the bullet and get a better radiator. I have a mishimoto in the grey truck and it does great.

all in alll I’m pretty happy with the way this truck has turned out. It tows well and runs good. Plenty of power to spare. On thing I noticed is that the little turbo I put on it will slap jump up to 30 plus on the boost. Not sure how much it will do cause I try not to go past about 25psi. It’s a little smokey while towing but I haven’t tuned it for towing yet. It’s about right when not to pulling the camper.

I accidentally stuck my thumb in the fan yesterday. Sure does hurt
