Just trying to get another one on the road.
This pic is after the five speed install that I got from Oliver.
After the install of the trans I took it to the dump about four days in a row. Needs new upper and lower ball joint
Then I find this. Bushing shot
Then when I get it out I find this. After the bushing gets here I’ll weld this up I think. If not then I’ll take one off the parts truck
So this is where I’m at now. I’ll post a few tomar night. If all goes well
Yes I still need to install the boot. But it came out good.
thought I’d start a new thread on this truck. My wife bought it a year ago. God knows I lover. Lil

Why would someone put this wire on the alternator
Then hook it to this spot in the wireing harness.
I have to jump it off if it sits overnight. Could be the battery. I tried disconnecting it last night and was still dead this morning.

Looks like you've been bit and now fallen down the rabbit hole...
I'm not familiar with that spot in the wiring harness. Is that the charge post on the alt? What year is that 350?
What happens if you disconnect that wire? It looks like a heavy gauge, is it a bypass?
BTW - thanks for saving another one.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say these Gen1 CTD's constantly eat front end parts?
I see you have a Dart, and a barndo! Were we separated at birth? I'm hoping to start on my house after the first of the year. That one reason I started resurrecting my dually.

Barndominium! Metal house. I have a 720sqft pole barn shop. Can't fit anything in it! I bought a place down the street from me. Going to yank the trailer out (or cut it up) and build a house there. then turn around and build a house here.

Barndo, that was a new one on me. Even owning a metal sided shop, I had never heard it called that. I like it.
Dan glad that 5 speed set up made it safely down south to you and is currently up and running well, so you can do trash runs in the D-350. The truck you put it in looks WAY nicer that the rust bucket I took apart for the Getrag and associated 5 speed parts.
The donor had no rockers, cab mounts, floor up until the transmission hump and the cab corner had separated from the upright where the door latches . The door would not close, the striker just moved backwards away from the door. The drivers rear seatbelt bolt had rotted off the floor so it had no seatbelt to go along with the almost no brakes set up. Driving it was a little scary.

I got some parts this morning. Gonna try to put it back together sometime today. After I get my water unfrozen.
I bought the dart last year. It’s a 69. My first car was a 70 swinger. Got it Florida and drive it back to Tennessee. It only threw one belt on the hole trip
I’ll post up pics later today

Nice!
I was trying to guess '68 or '69 Dart from the picture.
What is under the hood?
The leaning tower of power, or something with more cubic inches?
