I could not believe how much power that thing had, and the boost was instant. With the rebates also its only $34k.
I got the wife talked into it because of how quiet it was and how smooth it ran.
Now I'm fixing to start selling off all the other cars and go for this one.
BTW, I'm a true chevy man but for a reg cab base model 4x4 Dmax they wanted $32k. F that, I'll take the loaded cummins.

Am I sencing a little anti 24 valve? LOL
I could make my current truck much more powerful for only what 2 monthly payments would be on the new one, but the body is on its way out, it would need a new OD tranny, and a heck of a lot of dyno mat to make it even 1/10th as quiet. The cab has maybe 3-4 years left on it and needs work now to make it look decient. It needs both new doors and I cant seem to find new ones anywhere(used i mean, i dont want to buy brand new ones). If the body and cab were from a truck down south and didnt have this kind of rust I'd for sure keep it.
Big selling point too would be its still a cummins and can last a million+ miles at decient power levels and its either a mini-van for the wife and 3 kids or a quad cab 4x4 diesel. Which would you choose? I bet most of you would choose to just find and buy a 92-93 ext cab.
Lets talk power though. To meet its stock power I would need full pump tweeks, intercooler, intake, and exhaust. Just slap an Edge on it or quadzilla and I will need POD's. Its so easy to make more usable power, at least it seems that way. Look at wanna's dyno with all those mods. You can hit those numbers with a good tuner, intake and exhaust.
You guys are doing good though, keep working at talking me out of selling the old guy. Even if I get the new one, I may need some type of play toy.

I worked for a dodge dealer for the last 3 years. it's nice to drive new trucks and customer trucks but at the end of the day i still love hopping in mine and driving home. the dealer sits by the interstate and i get 3-5 people a month stop in to try to buy mine.
what really scares me is 500 to 700 a month every month. i spend that much on my truck but i dont have to. (course its just me and the wife and a doberman so space is not a premium)

There is some really good deals, but I may just start selling of my other cars and save up till this time next year when the 6.3L cummins is out. 750tq stock is a good place to start, I just hope they dont sacrifice fuel economy in the bigger engine.
