The Stage 3 is bigger.......stage 2 is 58mm and stage 3 is 60mm.
and theres a small difference in price so just go with the stage 3 and leave the 18.5cm housing and see how you like it, it seems to be the all around ultimate housing on an auto truck because it spools ok and keeps EGT's down.

If you are going to spend the money for a compressor upgrade, get the HTT III or equivalent. It's the best value for the money, and isn't too big even for a stock truck.

Nick, Here's what you could do with the crossover pipe when you add the compressor upgrade. the hardest part would be making the flange to go on the intake heater grids...

^^ picture courtesy of "PapeCat" , Nice job ^^
Yea Dave the only thing done to that one is; fuel pin set deep, shaved washer, star wheel down, 1/8 timing bump and it pushed 23psi this summer...

Thanks matt, all im really doing is seeing my options. When the time comes to spend money i really want to know what im spending it on and how its going to help me. So $225 for up wards or 370hp seems better than $1200 for basically what ever it can handle.

Its probably making a little over 200, like 210Hp.
I think it weighed 4800# with me and my dad in it and we both weigh 170.
You can get 370Hp out of a Stage 3 compressor upgrade but its gonna be smokey and the EGT's are gonna be HOT. Provided you have the fuel, and the power is getting to the ground.

The 3200 spring increases throttle response and makes the governor at 3200 rpm instead of the stock 2800 rpm.... (governor meaning when it starts to defuel)
its one of the best mods you can do to the pump and the spring is only $20 but its a PITA to put in. But theres a few "How to" articles on it. I've done 1 myself and never got around to doing it on your truck...I had to loosen the injection pump and pull it away from the engine so i could get the top of the pump off to access the spring....and theres no negatives to the 3200 spring. It doesn't make the EGT's hotter or anything like that..

Trans upgrade- Theres a few options
1. Buy an upgrade torque converter for the current 727 thats in it. ~$600
2. Swap in an A-518 Auto trans out of a 91.5-93 Cummins truck and get overdrive and then buy an upgrade torque converter and have O/D $300 + $550 ($300 being the trans give or take, you'll find one used)
3. Swap in a 47RH trans out of a 94-95 2nd generation cummins truck....You'll get overdrive and lockup but the cost of the swap parts, cost of the trans, and cost of the lockup converter may break the bank but its the best Auto trans upgrade you could do , but its more work.

Thanks Brandon, i read the article, it doesn't seem too difficult just a pain, as you said and time consuming.
I'm still figuring out what direction I'm going with it. After i fix the trans cooler leak i will freshened up the interior. Then would probably start mixing up some fuel. Then maybe look for some matching tires in the garage (nightmare)

Yeah spent 10 minutes lookin and FOUND TWO!!! PLUS they are the right size and load range. BUT... one seems brand new and the other looks almost burnt. Someone had fun doing a massive one-legged burnout. Then i found 4 new matching that are smaller in size :-( i need larger if anything. So we'll see.
