Unhappy Jardine Exhaust

Well I received my exhaust yesterday took it out of the box and layed it out. It looked pretty good other than the fact that the DP and the piece of pipe that goes by the transfercase are 3 1/2" not 4" as they advertized. Today I installed it and to my suprise it didn't fit that well . Were the pipe exits after the t-case it seems to shoot over towards the drivers side and that put the over the axle section way to far under the bed for my liking. Plus I think with the air ride in the rear of my truck really hinders the routing of the tail pipe. When I went to put the turn out on to get it out from under the bed it was way to low and way to far under. I tried turning each piece every different direction to get it to sit better but to no availe. I am going to give them a call tommorow and complain. so much for a good deal . I put some picks in my gallery of the pipe laid out on my deck incase anyone wants to take a look at it.

I'm having the same problem with my ShopDiesel 4" kit. There's a bend on the first extension pipe as it passes the t-case that makes it almost impossible to install the tailpipe. The way it sits now, my exhaust is inches from my driveshaft...

I got a jardine exhaust last year, the downpipe had to be clearanced to fit between the bellhousing and frame, and the pipe going past the transfercase was on some weird angle also. The only thing I liked was the tailpipe, that wasn't a problem, I actually like how it comes out on a 45 instead of a 90. I ended up getting a piece of flex from the local truck exhaust shop to put in place of the muffler, all problems solved. My next exhaust, I'm going to buy someone's 5" tailpipe and make the rest myself.

The expandit system was a good fit (and mine was used), and they are a reasonable price.

Fits a little better today

Well after a little finess and some luck I was able to get it to fit little better. I guess once it got hot and cooled a couple of times things kinda settled. I loosened some clamps twisted some pipe and it fits better . I was even able to put the turn out on. The only thing is that it still sits low and inside but I can deal with it. I do however have a call into Jardine just waiting for the return phone call. Maybe they will be willing to help me get it even better.

the down pipe needs to be pointed right in order for the rest of the system to line up correctly. i have installed quite a few systems on dodge trucks for friends and family and the down pipe is the key to getting everything lined up.
