Does it shake going down the road all the time, or during braking?

does it shake when throttling up? like if you stepped on the gas in neutral?

or, try putting it up on blocks & kicking it into gear...might feel something- could be a separated tire.

Did you check the bearings? Sounds like a loose bearing nut... sometimes the nut will back off, if it was improperly serviced... the caliper/break pads will keep the wheel from falling off...sometimes and somewhat in the same position.

A quick check for this
-when the wheel is off the ground check for left to right play(movement), keep a close eye on your steering parts as you attempt to move the wheel they should not move. If there is some play take the dust cap off the hub and tighten the bearing nut. Be sure to replace nut retainer cap after tightening and use a new cotter pin!

Can you describe the shake more? How about shocks? also you may have fixed the problem and still be getting the symptoms because your driving on tires that are out of round from previous problem.

Maybe I can be of some help here. So far no one has suggested that you check the drive line.

I have had them go out and they shook the rig just as if a wheel was out of balance.

the shake feels like the front end but all is tight. the dash and steering wheel shakes so bad the on a 8 hour trip it makes your arms tingle... it does need a carrier bearing i found that today also. but i don't think that would shake the steering wheel. the shocks were replace 15k ago. the tires have been balanced and rotated every 10k

I have seen belt separation in a radial tire do exactly what you are describing. I have also seen more than one in a set installed at the same time separate together. Jack each wheel up and check the runout near the center of the tread. Nail a block of wood to a board and place it close to the tire, then spin the tire and watch the gap.

shaky

try isolating the front from the rear, first jack up and jackstand the rear, run it up to speed, carefully watch the actual tire for true, then slip under to check th d-shaft for true, if you hava a stethiscope, listen to the diff, a bad vibration will be visible, ive seen new tires 1/4" out of round, next, lift the front to see any obvious out of true spinning the front wheels, check to see if the exhaust is hitting the frame under load, have someone hold the brake at speed, if not, go to a lower gear add more load watching mounts, good luck.

Do you have the road force #'s on those tires, or are they just slaming weights on? I'd have to bet the road force is high. Most of the time you will not see a tire "seperated", but the tire has a "heavy spot"
