Those dont fit with a transfer case and stacks lol... I had a short magnaflow ss muffler in mine for a while. Took lots of noise out, but it was mostly whistle and rasp. Not the drone. Still sounded pretty much the same wide open.
If there was a way to take the drone out of stacks, I would have them full time.
I used to have 2, and just scored a bit of 5".... Was thinking about making a 5" single, but if its gonna be anywhere as noisy as 2, then ill just leave it out the side. Anybody have first hand experience with noise levels between singles and duals?

I'm thinking of looking into the virtues of double-walled pipe when it's time for "Big Red Express" to come to fruition. It's principal job will be long distance towing, so noise is something of a concern inside of the cab. I don't really mind if it's a little loud outside though. Might help to keep people from driving in my blind spots.

I think it's about right. Running 70 I was still able to use a bluetooth earpiece to talk to my Dad this morning, before I needed the cell phone to be on speaker and turned up about halfway to hear at that speed. Can also hear the stereo without turning it up to ear-bleeding levels.

I guess i'm not old enough... I still love the sound of this hood stack! I'm curious though...does that cherry bomb take away any of the turbo sound? thats the real music to my ears!

Nope, hood stacks aren't legal. Whether it is enforced or not is up to the officer, same as our straight pipes.

The one consideration stopping me from finally deciding on stacks, the noise right behind the cab. I''ve gotten old too!! As cool as they can look, I don't know about the noise.
