internal ve pump leak
Hey guys, question for some of yall that are more familuar with the old ve pump. We got the new Pro Street VE truck out to the track this past week and after a few runs noticed it dripping fuel from the vent tube just above the full fuel screw. We were not done for the day so we blocked that port for another run, then the spitting out the driveshaft on the next pass showed us we Were done for the day! Any way pulling the diaph. cover reveled the whols top end being full of fuel, this pump only has maybe 2 miles on it and 5 or so 1/8th mile motor passes on it. It was missing on the factory mechanical pump so we went around it with a holley blue and man did it make a diff., just that change made it go from 9.4's to 8.9's on diesel fuel only. Pressure before was 2# and now has a solid 14#, surely 14# is not to much pressure and it blew a seal huh? And which seal would let it leak in to the top end where the fuel pin is? Thanks for any help or suggestions on this.

It has a denny t stage 2 in it. We thought it was odd for it to have such deep grooves in it after only like 6 passes or so? For more early fuel we took the spring out and it really seemed to run better, any one have any details on how to remove the afc function, or know to us p-pump guys as gutted afc? This truck is a track only truck like mine so drivabilty is not the concern, just lots of early fuel for the nitrous

You will have to remove the afc lever when you are taking the pump top apart to repair your fuel leak. All you have to do is leave it out when you put your pump back together and that's it, no more afc. You will still need to leave your fuel pin in place in the pump top to make sure the little pin that you had to put a new seal on dosen't move to far and start leaking again. The afc lever is the part in my avatar.

Like Gear Jammer said, removing the AFC lever defeats the whole AFC system and gives you full fuel with no boost.
