Installing Isspro pyrometer

So long as the tip is in the heat, but not touching the bottom, it should be okay.
The threaded hole in my manifold is 1/8NPT, while the thread on my probe is 1/4NPT.
I had to use a 1/8NPT nipple, with a 1/8 x 1/4 bell coupling adapter.
My pyro works fine with this set-up.

Mine is like dpuckett's. The probe is infinitely adjustable for depth, then you tighten the collar and it's locked in place. I'll take a pic of it later. I got mine from DieselManor.

Yup, mine has a ferrule and compression nut, and is (was) infinitely adjustable. Now that I have tightened it up on 3 different trucks, it is kinda stuck in place.
