Installing Injectors and Turbo?

Hello Everyone,
I have new injectors on the way and want to install them myself. Can someone tell me where to find that info? I have searched the entire site but nothing for a 1st gen. I also have a turbo coming and need to know how to install it as well.
I installed a Old Smokey fuel pin along with a new oil pressure sending unit last Tuesday. Thanks to "The Stickys". There is something inherently satisfying about doing it yourself.
Any help/advice would be great.
Thanks, Joseph

Both are a fairly simple install. The injectors can be a pain if they are siezed in the bores. Basically back of the return and supply lines to injectores. Spin off the retaining nut on the injector body.(be careful not to spin the injector in its bore) You can try to just pull out the injectors by hand but that rarely works. First try pulling the wire off the side of injection pump then crack over the motor a couple times.(keeps from pumping fuel) This may break them loose because of cylinder presure. Otherwise use lots of penetrating oil and a slide hammer(I believe instructions for slide hammer are in the sticky?) Once they are out instalation is reverse of removal. Turbo is basically take off old one and replace with the new one but I believe on the turbo you orderd the downpipe needs to be moved about an inch. Good luck.

if u are going to crank the motor with the injectors loose, i would make some kind of a catchers mit to prevent damage to flying injectors.

Definitely, you will need something stout enugh to handle a speeding bullet. Compression is about 500 psi. If they should fall to the ground, murphy will insure that it lands on something very hard and ruin the tip.

Never thought of the cranking the engine over idea for getting stubborn injectors out. Good idea, if done carefully.
