installing HD Front coil springs 7226S
I am interested to install a set of the Severe duty Moog front coil springs 7226S on my d250. my question is, with a jack, can I compress the new spring without raising the body? I know my coil spring compressor isnt goona handle that big of coil. Any pointers for the install?

Yes, you can do it that way. I just installed a set in my truck, the spring compressor would not compress the old spring. When you take the old one out, put a safety chain on it and separate the top ball joint from the control arm. The lower arm will drop FAST and the spring can be lifted out. Put the new spring back in and slowly jack it up into position and reconnect the upper ball joint. I was changing the ball joints in mine so for the first side I put the jack under the lower arm , separated the ball joints and let it down slowly. The second one I did like I first said. Thats how I found out it will drop FAST!
