If you are working on the dirt or gravel driveway, it's not a bad idea to lay a sheet under the engine compartment to catch any small parts that might fall.
Also, be carful to set the throttle shaft back on the correct splines....
It is really a pretty simple job to do. Just take your time and be patient with it.

got the spring in and evidentally didnt get something seated correctly thinking its the lever you can pull back with wire until you get the cap set back in place, so you dont have to move the full power screw??? im lost at this point im going to take the cover back off real quick and try again hopefully by the time i get back to comp someone will give me some ideas, ohh by the way when i crank the truck it immediately goes into blowing like a coal train but i can still kill it with a key so dont believe its runaway

If you don't remove the full power screw completely you will need to pull that spring loaded lever back so it can clear the pump top while you install it. (with some safety wire or something) It is much easier to just remove the Fuel screw and put the top on, then replace the screw. Just be sure to count the turns on teh way out and replace accordingly.

man what a difference I couldnt believe that by changing one spring it would have such an effect on my truck it takes a quarter pedal of what it used to get it moving now definetly recommend this small upgrade to anyone
