Installed ISSPRO #8503 4k tach to factory plug and doesnt work?
Did I get the right tach? the light works on the gauge? I hooked it up according to the sticky thread? Its a brand new gauge and I have a brand new CPS??

check the ground, check all your connections, when i installed mine, mine didn't work either, but the light worked and it was just a loose connection with the 12v power wire. Does that tach have the 24v resistor on it? if it does, take it off to run it for 12v. Did you check your tach plug with a voltmeter?

Good point on the 12 or 24 volt resistor. I had Don take it out before he sent me mine. Also if you got the R8912-92 wire harness you need to use the wire with no resistor in it. That wire kit has 5 wires in it and only 4 are used.

yeah i forgot about the 4 wires, the one wire has a filter on it, and you don't use that one, I think its the yellow wire without the filter, use the yellow one and not the white one with the filter on it.

What i did is test all the pins. I checked the hot wire to see if it red 12v when i turned the key on and checked the one wire that sent the tach signal(I can't remember the signals) I checked this by turning on the truck and pushed the pedal down a little, and the voltage would slowly go up and then come back down when i let off. And i turned on the lights to see if it read voltage on the other pin.
